When a simple autumn dinner spirals into chaos, the quiet lives of Peach, a spirited art teacher, and her sports-obsessed husband Deke, are turned upside down. Add a charming neighbor, a passionate younger sister, and a mysterious new boyfriend — and suddenly, small everyday tensions ignite into a whirlwind of secrets, rivalries, and unexpected revelations.

Set against the backdrop of an upcoming children’s art show and a crumbling domestic routine, Still Life with Pairs captures the humor, heartache, and hilarity of what happens when life’s little messes — and a few well-placed pears — tip the balance.

The Long Weekend brings two longtime couples together for what’s supposed to be a peaceful getaway at Max and Wynn Trueman’s newly purchased country retreat. But tranquility quickly unravels as old tensions resurface.

Max, a successful lawyer, and Roger, an ex-teacher turned struggling screenwriter, can barely tolerate each other. Meanwhile, Wynn’s constant psychoanalyzing grates on Abby, whose own sharp eye for critique keeps Wynn on edge.

As the weekend unfolds, polite smiles give way to pointed barbs, buried grievances, and hilarious clashes of personality.

With Norm Foster’s trademark wit, The Long Weekend turns a simple visit between friends into a comedy that makes a “quiet retreat” look more like emotional dodgeball — and far more entertaining.
